July Newsletter

Directors Corner
Happy 4th of July! I hope this finds your garden growing, flowers getting bigger with all of this sunshine, going to the pool or lake, just sitting back and enjoying a summer book and not having to mow the lawn very much! It seems strange that the weeds still keep coming and growing. How can that be? As for me, I am thankful for so many things but most importantly living in our great country enjoying all that was provided for us decades ago. Celebrate July 4th with your family and have a hot dog, watermelon, potato salad and maybe a slice of blueberry pie with homemade ice cream. Whatever your traditions are, please enjoy, find a parade, watch fireworks and if you are travelling, please be safe.
The PBTDL has lots of things to offer you for July, too. Check out a Potter Park Zoo pass, come and participate in our carnival, maybe build a sloth, frog or lemur, or the last Tuesday of July, don’t forget our foam party at the park. Come and be ready to get a little wet. Don’t forget the Friends of the Library Charlotte Pizza Hut fundraiser on July 12th from 4:00 to 8:00. For every pizza ordered between those hours, a portion of the sales will come to your library.
Keep busy, read and don’t forget to fill out your reading logs. We have lots of prizes just waiting for you. Have a great month!

Fundraiser! Mark your calendars.
The Friends of PBTDL have teamed up with Charlotte's Pizza Hut to raise money for the library. From 4:00PM-8:00PM all orders either Dined In, Carried Out or Delivered a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the library.
