July Newsletter

Director's Corner,

Let’s Celebrate July!

July 4th commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress in 1776, marking the formal declaration of the 13 American colonies’ separate from Great Britain.  It signifies the birth of the United States as a sovereign nation.  It’s marked by celebrations, parades, fireworks and gatherings with family and friends.  Grab some hot dogs, baked beans, blueberry pie and, of course, ice cream to celebrate.  Whatever you do, have tons of fun this 4th of July.

Your library is getting off to a great start with our Summer Reading Program “Color Our World”.  If you have not signed up yet, don’t worry, there is  lots of time.  Come into the library and see what all the fuss is all about.  Kaylee and Paige  have our Tuesday morning programs ready for you to enjoy.  Meet us at the park at 10:30.  Sit, relax and enjoy the programs.

The shelves are full of summer reads and new VOX books.  Take a look and see what is happening at YOUR LIBRARY this summer.  I hope to see you soon!
