March Newsletter

Director's Corner,

MARCH IS READING MONTH!!!

Let's celebrate the joy and importance of reading for all ages kicking off with Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd.  March is special for it transitions into spring with longer days, warmer days (hopefully), and the start of Daylight Saving Time.  Oh, don’t forget March Madness, too, and St. Patrick’s Day. There are lots of things to celebrate this month.  Sit down and do some extra reading with your children, make it a fun and enjoyable time for families to explore, create and READ.  See how many robins you can find this month!  Enjoy the sunshine.

The “Reading Through the Freeze” Winter Reading Program ends on March 7th.  Please remember to get your reading logs in so that we can see who won the race.  There will be prizes awarded, too.  Our StoryTime program is in full force.  Come and join the fun on Tuesday mornings at 10:30.  There is a surprise waiting for you each Tuesday in March.  Don’t forget about Libby and hoopla.  These are two ways to enjoy movies, books, audiobooks, magazines, and music by using your Library Card.  Your Library Card gives you so many opportunities for free events.  Please check it out or ask one of us for more details.

What is on my nightstand?  If you are a Joe Pickett fan, then sit back and enjoy C. J. Box's newest installment of the "The Crossroads".  It is a page turner, one night read for sure.  Joe can certainly get himself into some really tight spots.  It is available for you to checkout at the library.  Also, I just finished "My Husbands Wife" by Ruth Ware.  She is not disappointing her readers with this new thriller.  Lots of twists and turns.  I didn't figure it out until the end!  Grab a copy and start reading.

Have a fantastic March!
