Director's Corner,

Spring has Sprung!  Which means construction has started.  Please be careful when entering and leaving the library.  There are a lot of BIG trucks and construction equipment going through the parking lot.  Good news – we are open and have been open each and every day.  Come and see us – just be a little careful.  We will keep you posted on Facebook as to which entrance is open.  Thank you for your patience.

Be sure to check out the Friends of the Library Book Sale during Gizzard Fest.  The Well Read Shed will be open on Friday, June 6th and Saturday, June 7th from 12:00 to 5:00.  Come and purchase lots of titles at a great price.  I hope to see you there.  Also, the Friends of the Library will be having their annual Craft Show at the Country Mill on September 27th and September 28th.  If you are interested in having a booth, please contact Jan Morey at janetmorey3@gmail.com.  There are still a few booths open inside and outside.

The Summer Reading Program “Color Our World” is fast approaching.  Paige and Kaylee have been busy getting the Tuesday morning programs scheduled and they have booked some great entertainment.  The program starts Monday, June 23 and runs through August 9th.  I hope to see each one of you this summer.  If you have questions, please come in and talk with me.

Also, Paige has started a Crochet Club.  If this is something that you have wanted to learn to do, the first organizational meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6th at 4:00.  Please bring crochet hooks and yarn.  See you Tuesday.

Whatever your plans are for May, please get outside and enjoy the birds and flowers or maybe start by grilling outside.  There are so many great things to do in Michigan.  Don’t forget our Potter Park Zoo passes.  They can be checked out when you have a free day.  The pass includes parking and entry for everyone in your family.
