November News.

Directors Corner

October is behind us and say “Hello” to November.  It is time for family and friends to gather to pay tribute to all veterans for their service.  We are grateful for your sacrifice, and we honor each one of you.  Thank You!

We will also be gathering with family, neighbors and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.  I can’t wait for the mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.  What is your favorite food at Thanksgiving?

The Friends of the Library have some items for sale just inside the library door.  Please come in and check out the great handmade items that they have put together.  You may find a special gift for your neighbor or friend.  The library really appreciates their hard work which helps us provide so many extra activities for each one of you.  If you would like to become involved, please let me know.  The Well Read Shed will continue to be open every Tuesday weather permitting.

We have lots of holiday books coming in soon.  Hopefully you can take a minute, sit down and enjoy one of the new titles.  Also,  we just received a number of new children’s books, too.  Please stop in, let us know your favorite food at Thanksgiving and check out the children’s section.  Whatever you do this month, have a great time and be safe if you are travelling.

Stay tuned as we will soon be announcing a big celebration for" 2024". Hint: Who do you know that will be turning 120 years old?

As a biracial, unenrolled tribal member and the product of a scandal, Daunis Fontaine has never quite fit in—both in her hometown and on the nearby Ojibwe reservation. When her family is struck by tragedy, Daunis puts her dreams on hold to care for her fragile mother. The only bright spot is meeting Jamie, the charming new recruit on her brother’s hockey team.
After Daunis witnesses a shocking murder that thrusts her into a criminal investigation, she agrees to go undercover. But the deceptions—and deaths—keep piling up and soon the threat strikes too close to home. How far will she go to protect her community if it means tearing apart the only world she’s ever known?
